Advanced Curriculum Rooted in Industry Practice
Addressing the growing demand for a highly skilled technical workforce, the School of Engineering and Sciences has designed a hands-on/co-op-heavy, research-intensive, interdisciplinary, industry-embedded curriculum that sets itself apart from other science and engineering institutes.
The school offers traditional engineering programmes in B.Tech., Integrated M.Tech., and M.Tech., specialising in Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Microelectronics and Semiconductors, Semiconductor Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Civil Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering.
B.Sc. (Hons) and M.Sc. programmes are offered in basic sciences such as Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biological Sciences and Environmental Science, with Ph.D. and Post-Doc offered in all engineering and sciences programmes. SRM University-3
Pioneering Emerging Technologies
Pioneering emerging technologies, SEAS at SRM University-AP is one of the few institutes to tap into the potential of radical fast-growing innovations that can transform society. The university has established an AI Technology Institute (AiTI) and Quantum Technology Institute (QuTI) that offer a B.Tech. in Artificial Intelligence and B.Tech. in Quantum Computing and Technology, which will drive societal evolution, creating opportunities for businesses, governments, and individuals.
In line with the National Education Policy (NEP), the School also integrates open electives, skill-based modules, minors, and mandatory courses such as Entrepreneurial Mindset and Emerging Technologies, which shape students’ educational pathways to align with their aspirations and promote flexibility and autonomy within the academic structure.
Landmark Collaboration Driving Transformation
SRM AP’s School of Engineering and Sciences has inked a landmark partnership with Carnegie Mellon University’s School of Computer Science (CMU SCS), USA — one of the world’s foremost institutions in computing and technology. This pioneering collaboration facilitates new avenues across several fronts: joint research initiatives, the development of cutting-edge AI labs, enriched curriculum design, research internship opportunities for SRM AP students, and faculty capacity-building programs.
The school partners with JK Srivastava Hynfra P.S.A. Ltd to drive green hydrogen innovation aligned with Andhra Pradesh’s goal to become India’s Green Hydrogen Hub by 2030. The university, in collaboration with JK Srivastava Group, will establish a Centre of Excellence in Hydrogen Technologies for research, academic, and scientific knowledge exchange in the field of Green Hydrogen Technologies.
SEAS also has partnerships with 90+ QS-ranked international universities, including the University of California-Berkeley, Monash University, University of Bristol, Northeastern University, Flinders University, University of Essex, etc. These institutions provide international exposure through semester abroad programmes, pathway programmes, research internships, joint research projects and higher education opportunities for SRM AP students.
Robust Research & Innovation Ecosystem
SRM University-AP is India’s 1st and only university to establish India’s first and only Quantum Reference Facility on campus, in collaboration with the Government of Andhra Pradesh, a bold step into the next frontier of technology and innovation. This launch has positioned SRM University-AP as one of the leading partners of the Amaravati Quantum Valley Project, driving Andhra Pradesh’s ambition to become among the world’s pioneering quantum hubs.

Admission Process and Eligibility Criteria
The school conducts SRMJEEE for all registered and eligible candidates applying for Engineering programmes.
Candidates who have acquired a minimum aggregate score of 60% in both Class X and XII in Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry/ Computer Science/ Information Technology/ Informatics Practices/ Engineering Graphics can apply for B.Tech. programmes at SEAS.
B.Sc., M.Sc. and M.Tech. admissions are based on meeting the eligibility conditions and performance in the interview. Candidates with a minimum aggregate score of 60% in both Class X and XII can apply for B.Sc. programmes, and candidates with a minimum aggregate score of 60% in both Class X, XII and a relevant UG Degree can apply for M.Sc. and M.Tech. programmes.
