In a world where legacy often defines leadership, carving an independent identity requires courage, conviction, and clarity of vision. Silky Jain Marwah exemplifies this journey—balancing institutional leadership with entrepreneurial ambition while redefining success on her own terms. As the driving force behind Tula’s Institute and Tula’s International School, and the mind behind Netpuppys, her story is one of resilience, reinvention, and relentless pursuit of purpose.

Legacy Meets Innovation An alumna of Symbiosis, with further academic enrichment from globally renowned institutions such as Harvard and Oxford, she brought a dynamic blend of creativity, strategic thinking, and forward-looking leadership to the family institution. Infusing fresh energy, she reimagined its approach by harmonising traditional values with modern innovation. Her leadership ushered in a new era defined by progressive education, holistic development, and a global outlook.

Building a Name of Her Own Stepping into a family-led institution comes with its own set of perceptions, and Silky acknowledges that the notion of nepotism is a reality she encountered early on. When she took charge of Tula’s Institute, it was still in its nascent stage. She dedicated her formative years to building the institution’s reputation and establishing her own credibility in the education sector. Those initial five years were defined by hard work, discipline, and a deep commitment to growth.

The Birth of Netpuppys Despite her success in education, there remained an unfulfilled desire to create something entirely her own. That desire found direction in digital marketing—a field that resonated with her creative instincts. This vision led to the birth of Netpuppys, a venture that marked her independent entrepreneurial journey. For Silky, it wasn’t just about starting a business; it was about creating an identity that reflected her individuality and vision.

Navigating Challenges with Adaptability Establishing Netpuppys in Gurgaon after the pandemic presented multiple hurdles, from hiring the right talent to building a team of dynamic Gen Z professionals. This required a new leadership approach rooted in understanding, adaptability, and mentorship. Drawing from her background in education, she was able to connect with her team, foster collaboration, and build a strong organisational culture.

The Balancing Act: Leadership and Life Silky’s journey also reflects the evolving dimensions of a modern woman’s life. Balancing professional commitments with the responsibilities of home and two children is no easy feat. She credits her ability to manage this balance to a strong support system, especially her husband. Her story is a powerful reminder that leadership is not just about inheriting responsibility—it is about redefining it.
