EDex Awards Kolkata 2026 presented by Indianpreneur Magazine concluded successfully on
30th May 2026, bringing together distinguished academicians, education leaders, researchers,
EdTech innovators, and industry experts from across East India to celebrate excellence and
innovation in education.
The prestigious event recognized outstanding institutions and individuals for their remarkable
contributions to K-12 education, higher education, research, innovation, EdTech, academic
leadership, skill development, and institutional excellence.
The event was graced by esteemed dignitaries, including the Guest of Honour- Hon’ble Prof.
Ashutosh Ghosh-Vice-Chancellor of the University of Calcutta and “Dr. Sanku
Bose-Vice-Chancellor of Amity University Kolkata whose presence added immense value to
the occasion.Addressing the gathering, the Guests highlighted the critical role of educational
institutions in nurturing future-ready talent and emphasized the importance of innovation,
technology adoption, research excellence, and collaborative learning in shaping the future of
education in India.
Along with the Guests, several prominent Vice Chancellors from East India participated in the
event, including Dr. R.D. Patidar, Vice Chancellor of O.P. Jindal University, Raigarh, and Dr. Atul
Kumar, Vice Chancellor of Vikrant University, Gwalior.Dr. Neeta Mohanty-Pro Vice-Chancellor of
Siksha ‘O’ Anusandhan Deemed to be University, Mr. Sumanta Basu-Registrar of Sister Nivedita
University, Dr. Arya Patnaik Member of Board of Management, BPUT, Odisha and Secretary of RIMS,
Rourkela.
The event witnessed the presence of eminent Vice Chancellors, Registrar, Directors, Principals,
Deans, education entrepreneurs, and thought leaders who shared valuable insights on the
future of education, digital transformation, artificial intelligence, and the implementation of the
National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.
One of the key highlights of the event was a series of engaging panel discussions focusing on
